Gray and Yellow Room Room Decor

I just took the last friend to the airport after a very full week (and several months of planning) of Playlist Live. I am so very proud of my hubby for putting on such an awesome event. I’m spending the week cleaning up the house and today I wanted to share some of my favorite yellow and gray home decor finds.

We are using this palette in our bedroom and I love it! I have a few more things to hang up then I will post photos soon. I am happily finding this color palette everywhere. Above are a few of my favorite citrus and slate decor items.

D.I.Y. Fresh Floral Wreath

Last week I made a fresh floral wreath for my sweet grandmother’s memorial service. It was extremely easy to make and I was so happy with the beautiful outcome. I followed this tutorial found on Weddingbee. I purchased the floral foam wreath with paper mache tray at Harry’s Famous Flowers shop in Orlando. You can also purchase them on-line here. I picked up the flowers at Whole Foods and Publix. My favorite part of the wreath is the faux butterflies (I found these at Hobby Lobby for only $1.99/package). My grandmother absolutely loved watching butterflies float around her garden.

Tree and Leaf Wedding Invitations

Today I completed one of my favorite stationery suites I have ever made. I created this lovely paperie for my brother’s good friend and his fiancé. They are tying the knot under oak trees in a vineyard in Alabama.

All the pieces are placed in chocolate brown folders. They will be tied with twine and sealed with a sweet yellow heart. Love it!

Pantone Hotel in Brussels

For all you color lovers, here’s a place you will love! Pantone has teamed up with a hotel in in Brussels, Belgium to create the Pantone Hotel. Every space is decked out in saturated Patone hues. The rooms feature mugs, containers, furniture and many more Pantone Universe products. I think if anyone is going to Belgium, you must stay at this hotel. It’s heaven for the color theorist in all of us.

Bloggers Day of Silence

Tomorrow, March 18th, I will be participating in bloggers day of silence. I will refrain from blogging this day in hopes that instead of visiting my site you will go here and donate.

When you visit the site For Japan With Love, you will be able to donate to Shelter Box. Shelter Box is an international disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter and supplies to those in need.

Please make a donation. Every dollar donated can help make a difference.
