DIY Colored Bobby Pins

Learn how to create colorful hair pins using spray paint.

Before we get to today’s post, I just want to say that today my prayers are going to all those affected by yesterday’s tragedy in Boston. My heart hurts for them.

Lately I’ve been kinda obsessesed with 2 things: spray paint and anything rose gold. I decided to combine those loves (and add some mint green) and create the easiest DIY hair accessory ever. All you need to do is a grab a can of your favorite color of spray paint and some bobby pins that you probably have laying around. I tend to find them in the most random places like on top of the dryer, on the sofa, and on the floor of my car. It’s funny how they get scattered around.

Just two coats and in about 30 minutes you have colorful hair pins! I use bobby pins every day to hold back my wavy hair or pin back my bangs when I’m at the gym. I’m planning on spray painting some in neon pink and yellow next!
