I liked this month’s wallpaper so much I decided to bring the idea to life. I took some plain white card stock and used my Silhouette to cut out feather shapes. I used a foam brush to paint Mod Podge on the bottom part of each feather and then sprinkled on some gold glitter. Once all the glue was dry, I used a needle to thread the feathers onto a piece of baker’s twine.
I love how this garland is equally festive for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. After the holidays I think I may hang it in our guest room. It’s just too cute to not display!
Want to make your own glitter feathers? Download the free Silhouette Studio file or the printable PDF template.
If you’re still on the fence about getting a Silhouette, check out the rest all the projects I’ve made with mine. Silhouette isn’t paying me for this, I just love the product so much I think you may too.
Absolutely love it. Going to make this tomorrow to hang on my wall for the Friendsgiving I will be hosting. Thanks!
This is AMAZING! You make me want to glitter everything. I can’t wait to do this and the glitter pumpkins next year!
Love my Silhouette too! Darling garland! I am so crushing on feathers right now!
Gorgeous! I’ve been wondering how to convert illustrator files to use with my silhouette. Would you be happy to share?
This looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing :)
