As you probably have heard by now, last week I hosted another Meet + Make at West Elm Orlando. The workshop was hands down my favorite Meet + Make to date so today I wanted to share a little bit more about the event. This Meet + Make brought together 50 super talented ladies from the Orlando community for a night of creating and making new friends.
A big thanks to Jordan Emmitt Photography for capturing all the crafty details! Jordan and I met on Instagram a few months ago and soon realized how many friends we had in common and that we both love crazy types of sushi so we were pretty much destined to be friends and collaborate. If you need an event and lifestyle photographer, she’s definitely your lady!
This workshop sold out in a less than a week! If you’re in central Florida, don’t miss the next one and sign-up for my newsletter.
Everyone received a canvas and created some pretty awesome mixed media Valentine’s Day inspired art. These ladies are seriously talented! Check out the end of my video tutorial to see everyone’s work.
I baked up dozens and dozens of red velvet and vanilla bean cupcakes. I also baked some red velvet shortbread cookies and some classic sprinkle sugar cookies. The adorable and oh-so-festive sprinkles were provided by the adorable Sweet Estelle’s Baking Supply.
I created a few examples to give everyone a little bit of inspiration. It was so exciting to see how different and unique everyone’s art was!
No event is complete without name tags. I created kraft paper heart name tags to keep with the crafty Valentine’s Day theme.
The swag bags were filled with goodies that I handpicked from amazing Etsy shops. If you want to see what I included in the bags check out my swag bag round up here.
Thanks so much to Marcela, Angela, Jen and the amazing team at West Elm Orlando! You all are such amazing hosts!
Kim and Sara both shared awesome recaps of the event over on their blogs. Be sure to check them out!
