Today’s part of our house tour takes a look at our guest bathroom. It was once one of the most “blah” places in our home (mostly due to the previous dark tan wall color and the retro mauve tile) and now it’s one of the cheeriest places in our home. It’s pretty funny actually—when people walk into the bathroom for the first time, they usually say that it’s the perfect backdrop for photos thanks to the fun gold polka dot walls.
I updated the look of the bathroom for only around $150 and it really transformed the space. The biggest transformation was removing the sliding shower doors, which really gave the space a dated look.

This is so adorable! Love the shower curtain and of course the gold dots. This is giving me motivation to finish our bathroom makeover!
It’s all in the details and you’ve got some WONDERFUL details! Thanks for sharing with us.
Love it! Working around vintage tile can be so hard, but you’ve made it look fresh and intentional!
Thanks so much! It was definitely always a challenge that’s why I put off painting the space for so long!
Your bathroom looks really great! It’s nice to see a more realistic bathroom versus all the glorious huge ones you see online. Thank you for the inspiration!
My favourite room of your house tour! I am in love with those gold polka dots :) Top job, Sarah!
Thanks so much, Lana! The gold polka dots make it one of my favorite spaces too!
Awesome! I have the same shower curtain and the same style bathroom. How do I show a picture?
