If you’re not local or you were not able to attend last week’s Meet + Make, don’t worry, today I’m sharing exactly how we made the bright colored glassware. The custom glasses are really fun to make and great to give but I bet you may want to keep them for yourself!
The process for creating the painted glasses is pretty simple but a couple tools do make the job easier. One of which is a Silhouette cutting machine. No other tool gets used as much in my studio as my Silhouette! I find myself using it several times and week and here’s a yet another use. It’s perfect for creating stencils to place on glasses.
If you’ve been wanting a Silhouette for a while and would love to make your own glasses today is your day—I’m giving away a Silhouette Portrait!
Watch the video tutorial above to learn how to create your own set of painted glasses and continue to the end of the post to learn now to win your own Silhouette Portrait!
Time: 45 minutes + drying time
Supplies: glasses / glass paints / Silhouette Portrait or Cameo / stencil material / spatula / makeup wedges
**This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to Tandi C. who is the winner!**
This giveaway was sponsored by Silhouette and is open to U.S. residents only. One winner will be randomly chosen after the giveaway ends on 3/24/15 at 12 AM EST. The winner will be contacted via e-mail and must respond within 3 days. If there is no response after 3 days a new winner will be randomly selected.

I’m pregnant with a baby girl so I’d love to learn to make stuff for babies like accessories or decorations for her room.
Ah these are so cute! I would love to learn to make paper flowers, and a variety of them. Use for decorations or hair accessory :D
I love crafts so I would love to attend, I live in TX though.
I absolutely love this DIY painted glass project! I hate that I had to miss this Meet + Make. Looks like it was an amazing one!
I love your blog! You have such great projects– wish I lived in the area.
I don’t live in the area, but I love seeing your creative projects! I am a teacher, so perhaps a classroom resource for crafty teachers would be a fun Meet + Make? :)
If I lived in the area, I would want to make succulent vessels or vases for flowers — perfect for spring and summer!
Found your blog through instagram and I’m in love! Thanks for the inspiration.
These are absolutely adorable!
I would love to win the portrait! I’m a sahm of five kiddies and my husband was laid off. We’ve been wanting to buy the Silhouette but it’s been out of our budget. We were hoping to start a little home based business once we do get one. I love your site and the tutorials!!
I’d love to do some sort of weaving, embroidery, or a summery project like potted succulents or herbs.
I would love to paint something because I haven’t held a brush in forever!
I might actually try this one. Thanks
Ack! I’ve been wanting a Silhouette so bad! I love your projects, especially this one. I’d love to make some retro bar ware.
Ooooh these are so cute! I’d love to give these a try!
I’d love to be able to use the Silhouette to make my own prints to give as gifts and stencil pillows. ????
Some cute flowers! Or something for coasters!
Awesome – the hardest part is always waiting for this stuff to dry! I’d love to win a silhouette!
Oh gosh there is so much I would want to make with this! Decorations/signs for my daughters room, invitations and decorations for her 2nd birthday party…! I NEED this!! I would flip and be so grateful to win one!
I wish I lived in the area, but I love projects involving fabric or embroidery.
I don’t live in the area, but I would love to make stencilled wine glasses or paper flowers
Meet and Make looks like fun – I’d like to see something book art related.
SO CUTE! And so many different possibilities!
I was thinking of using DIY stencils to etch some glass, but I might make painted glassware instead. You make it look so easy. Looking forward to exploring your blog.
