Bacon is pretty much the sole reason I could never be a vegetarian.
There’s something about the salty meat that makes it irresistible. If you’re also a bacon fan (because pretty much, who isn’t?) then you gotta try making this easy app. It comes together in minutes and is always sure to be a crowd pleaser. Because what’s the only way to make bacon even tastier? Add goat cheese!
Watch the video below to see just how easy they are to make.
Goat Cheese Bacon Wrapped Dates
Ingredients
pitted dates / goat cheese / almond slivers / bacon strips, cut in half
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil. While the oven preheats, use a pairing knife to cut a slit lengthwise across each date.
- Fill with about 1 teaspoon of goat cheese and a few almond slivers. Press is closed and wrap with a piece of bacon.
- Place on the foil lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until the bacon is just beginning to crisp. Drain on a paper towel lined plate and then transfer to a serving platter. Serve warm.

These sweet and savory appetizers would go great with a refreshing grapefruit ginger mule or another one of my cocktail recipes!
