Shortly after I moved to Orlando back in 2007 I discovered a tiny sandwich shop called Pom Poms. The are known for their assortment of teas and pressed sandwiches and it quickly became my one of favorite lunch spots. Almost every time I would get the berry melt, which was loaded with ripe seasonal berries and brie cheese. Today I’m sharing my version of this sweet, savory, and gooey berry brie cheese melt.
This easy but oh-so-fancy sandwich can be made with whatever seasonal berries you like. I prefer ripe blackberries but it’s also delicious with blueberries, strawberries or all three. Just layer on all the ingredients to your liking, toast it until it’s golden brown on both sides and you have your new favorite grilled cheese.
