  1. Use heavy duty scissors to cut the tops off faux eggs.

  3. Apply a lot of hot glue to the bottom side of faux succulents and place them inside the open end of the eggs. Add more hot glue as necessary. Hold in place for a few seconds until the glue sets. Then display your eggs together in an egg carton or individually in an egg cup.

Cutting these plastic eggs definitely requires heavy duty scissors. These scissors have been my new favorite multi-purpose tool in the house. I keep them in the kitchen drawer because they have a bottle opener on one blade and can even be separated and placed in the dishwasher. And the wire cutter end is also great for trimming small wooden dowels or skewers.

The faux succulents used in these mini planters aren’t your grandma’s silk flowers. I was so surprised how real these look! I can’t wait to use them again in other DIY projects.
