Easy DIY Catch All Wood Tray
Download the free printable monstera pattern
Supplies
Square wood tray
Marble contact paper
Printable adhesive vinyl
Printer (I have this one)
Ruler and craft knife
Squeegee or a credit card
Directions
- Download the free printable monstera pattern and print it out on a sheet of printable adhesive vinyl. Let it dry for at least 10 minutes.
- Use a ruler and craft knife to cut out the 2 triangular shapes. Then trim a piece of marble contact paper to 9″ x 9″.
- Peel off the paper backing from one end of the marble contact paper. Line up the edges and place it inside the tray. Use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out any air bubbles and continue slowly removing the paper backing as you smooth it out. Repeat the same thing with the monstera printed vinyl, placing each in a corner. Smooth out any air bubbles and your tray is ready to be gifted or used.
To make the printable vinyl more durable, you can paint the entire vinyl insert with a thin coat of sealer like Mod Podge. Just be sure to use a foam brush (so you don’t get streaks) and allow it to dry for a couple days before use.
