Hi! I’m Sarah Khandjian, but all my friends call me Sarah Hearts. I’m the daughter of a print expert and graphic designer, and have always had a love for art, design and all things crafty. Though raised in Miami, my interests led me to Tallahassee, where I further developed my skills at Florida State University. While there, I developed an affinity for color theory, print making, and Adobe Illustrator (particularly the pen tool). I graduated summa cum laude and with a BFA in graphic design.

I started Sarah Hearts in 2006 with a line of handmade bags and screen printed apparel. I sold my items in the student union, online, and at indie craft fairs to help supplement my meager college income. A couple years later, I married my love, Kevin. We had a simple, handmade wedding where I not only hand screen printed our stationery but also made all the decorations for the wedding. I started blogging that summer to document and share all of my handmade wedding creations with my out-of-town family and friends. This led me to also begin sharing other projects I created and things I found inspiring. I feel so blessed to say that this little blog is now my full-time job.

I currently live in Winter Park, Florida with my husband, Kevin in a 60’s Florida ranch home. When I’m not creating things, I can be found at the barn with my horse, Justin, and our dog, Darcy.
