This weeks posts are going to have a similar theme– back to school. Many people are going to hitting the books by the end of the month so I wanted to share some of my favorite school supplies. I was always the kid who couldn’t wait for back to school shopping. The new school year meant the possibility of a new a lunch box, book bag, folders, pencils boxes and more. Today’s post highlights one of my favorite supplies, lunch boxes. I love to pack my lunch because I can eat healthier and safe a few bucks.
Lunch boxes aren’t just for students, the few featured above are handy for anyone who dines away from home. Do you bring your lunch to work or school? If so, what’s your favorite lunch box food? A particular sandwich or wrap?

2. Thermos Raya Flower Print Lunch Duffle
3. Lunchskins reusable snack and sandwich bags (I have these, they are great! They are even dishwasher safe)
4. Klip-It Lunch Cube (a simplified bento box that keeps everything separate)
5. 16oz. Glass bowl with Lid (5% of the purchase goes to the Food Bank of New York City)

Were you the kid that wanted a new book bag every school year? Or did you used the same one for several years? Either way, here are my picks for book bags this season.

1. Timbuk2 build you own Swig. So many fabric choices! Has built in laptop protection too.
2. Jansport illustrator pack. Comes with markers so you can color in the pattern. Reminds me very much of Mike Perry‘s work.
3. Jansport cosmic bubbles superbreak backpack exclusively at the Container Store.
4. Timbuk2 Q backpack. Built in laptop protection and side accessibility.
5. InCase nylon compact backpack. Houses a 15″ MacbookPro nicely. Available in several neutral colors.
Note: I was disappointed to find out that my favorite book bag that I used throughout high school and college is no longer in production. It was a Clive book bag that I purchased at the Container Store. Super durable and comfortable. It was one of the first bags with an iPod holder.

I have long been a fan of Seattle’s Three by Three. Their super strong hooks and magnetic boards are stylish and functional. They are perfect around the home and a great solution in dorm rooms or small apartments. Below are my favorite three by three pics for back to school. All can be purchased via their online shop.
