Easy Dulce de Leche Ice Cream Recipe

November 19, 2010Sarah Khandjian

My friend Stuart, from the BFA program at FSU, shared this yummy recipe with me last week on the blog. It sounded so good so I had to try it. The 2 ingredient recipe makes super sweet and rich dulce de leche-like frozen “ice cream.” (Ice cream is in quotes because it’s more ice than cream).

I halved Stuart’s recipe and used the above ingredients. I also add 1 tsp. vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon.

Blend all the ingredients…

Pour into a container and freeze over night. It will need to thaw for about 10 minutes before it is soft enough to scoop. Enjoy!

(If this is too sweet for you, I would use 1 can sweetened condensed milk and substitute the second can with 12 oz. of whole milk)

Haha this is amazing! Hope you like it as much as I do. I have a bowl almost every night after dinner. It’s an old family recipe.

    Thanks Sarah!
