Blues and Gray Color Palette

I’ve been on yet another blogging hiatus. I’ve been a busy bee trying to balance two jobs and it’s becoming increasingly more difficult each week.  I plan on working on some great DIYs that I will share next week. Until then, here’s a lovely color palette inspired by Elephant Ceramics beautiful work. Don’t you just love the combinations of colors and textures?

Pink, Gold and Blue Color Palette

Welcome to my new site! Please take a look around and let me know what you think. I decided to lay it out based on your feedback– making the blog the most accessible page and featuring the most popular categories right there at the top. I will be making small edits and adding new content throughout the coming month. If you have any sugguestions, please let me know. I appreciate your feedback.

I thought it would be fitting to launch my site re-design with a festive color palette. Today’s palette is inspired by Confetti System’s awesome crape paper decorations. They use unique color palettes to create interesting party decor.

Special thanks to my husband, Kevin for coding the site. I couldn’t have done it without you.

Navy, Red, Yellow and White Color Palette

Happy 4th of July! I hope you are enjoying your day! We are in Miami and going to have a picnic with my parents tonight and watch a fireworks show. I just made cheesecakes in jars to bring with us. I will share photos of the picnic with you late this week.

I love the photo above and I think nothing is more patriotic than an American flag and a horse. The color palette above is a more rustic version of the saturated colors you normally see on the 4th. The colors look a little worn and faded and I think they would be perfect for an outdoor party.

DIY 4th of July Decorations

I have another patriotic post for you! Today I collected my favorite diy tutorials for creating cute 4th of July decorations. I can’t wait to make the sparkler holders. They are so clever and I love the details in the design.

We are heading down to Miami tomorrow and will be spending the 4th with my parents. We’re planning on having a picnic in the park while we watch fireworks. I’m thinking I will make some kinda of dessert in a jar. Maybe cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries? Do you have any 4th of July traditions? Any  decorations you always make?

Red White and Blue Wedding Inspiration Board

The 4th of July is just around the corner and this upcoming holiday has left me thinking of all things red, white, and blue. So I thought, why not use this color palette for a summer wedding? I made a little wedding board inspired by the patriotic holiday.

Kevin and I got married a couple days before thanksgiving. We definitely didn’t want to have a cornucopia, pilgrim and indian, and wild corn decorated wedding. We did however, use fall inspired colors (which also happen to be my favorite colors, orange and yellow) for our wedding. I think the reason I don’t like holiday themed weddings is the same reason I would be bummed if my birthday were on Christmas Day. You know what I mean? I just wouldn’t want the festivities of one holiday to over shadow your big day (not to mention the idea of cornucopias are a wedding make me cringe).

I do think borrowing the patriotic color palette for a summer wedding would be so cute. I think it’s a great way to incorporate the season without lining the aisle with little American flags. What do you think? Would you use this palette for your big day?

Pink, Red, Blue, and Jade Color Palette

I love blush. It’s my makeup staple. For some ladies the can’t do without mascara or their “signature” lip color. My makeup necessity is blush. I feel naked without. When I was creating today’s color palette I thought of two things: blush and summer. I thought about blush because it’s part of my daily routine and summer has been on my mind because it’s been so hot here in Florida. I feel this photo by MayaLee captures both those things. I love how summer lends itself to heavily saturated hues inspired by nature. The blues with a hint of green in them pair perfectly with blush and a bright saturated strawberry. Now I want to paint my nail the pool blue color and wear strawberry lipstick.

Peach, Blue and Green Color Palette

Happy Memorial day! I hope those of you that have the day off are relaxing in the company of friends and family.

I find today’s color palette to be surprisingly unusual and charming. I haven’t seen this combination of colors used before and I think it would be lovely in a kitchen or dining room. Or perhaps a sunroom? How would you use it?

Yellow, Blue and Red Color Palette

I’m loving deeply saturated hues. It makes me think of the summer time and dining outside. This color palette motivates me to have a dinner party outside and make a yellow, turquoise and red flag bunting.

Brown, Blue and Gold Color Palette

I’ve been loving this color palette lately. There’s something about brown and light blue that always looks oh so good. And adding gold to the mix brightens it up perfectly for spring.

Tan, Gray and Blue Color Palette 49

This image has an ethereal quality to it. I instantly image being in the warmth of the sun’s rays and hearing waves crash on the shore. This palette would be beautiful for a sunset summer wedding on the bay or for a bedroom, don’t you think?
