As I continue to catch you up on what I’ve been up to, here’s a little design work I’ve done recently. Above, a save the date card for my gorgeous friend Jen and her cute fiancé.

Save the date post cards for Amanda and Tim’s gray and yellow destination wedding.

I was honored to create the wedding stationery for my friends Janna and David. Hands down the most fun I’ve ever had making a wedding invitation. And yes, that’s an Ugly doll holding a Swedish flag.

Here’s an infographic I made for Summit Church.

Time for camp! Here’s a fun logo I made for the high school group at Summit Church.

I had the opportunity to make a logo for Nick West. Who is always on tour.

Neon is in and I had the opportunity to finally use this color palette. I created a shirt design for Young Life, a ministry that loves kids and Jesus.

This weekend I hosted my first “crafternoon.” It was a blast! We drank sangria and made Valentines. I now plan on hosting these once a month. They are a great way to make new friends, catch up with old ones, and of course craft!

I made this spinach artichoke dip and served it with raw veggies and crackers. Jessica make chocolate Oreo truffles and severed them in those cute “x” and “o” trays.

I made Gabbie’s delicious sangria recipe. It’s so easy and yummy! I added frozen blackberries and tons of fresh citrus. So good! I found this awesome glitter ribbon on clearance at Michaels.

Here are some of our cards!

Here’s a few more cards and the lovely ladies! Thanks for coming Eileen, Gabbie, and Jessica!
Do you craft or make art with friends? If you don’t yet, get some friends together this weekend and make some valentines for your friends and family. It’s so much fun!

I truly have the most creative and inspired clients! Ashley came to me inspired by the artist Alphonse Mucha. She loved the artist’s work and the aesthetic of the art nouveau movement. I drew from both those looks and the typography of that period. I absolutely loved creating this for Ashley and Mark and I cannot wait to create their wedding invitations.

This weekend I made holiday cards. I wanted to make something that wasn’t my typical vector-y aesthetic. I recently purchased a little set of alphabet rubber stamps that I had yet to use. I also have a large collection of washi tape now, so I decided to combine them both! Above are the two card designs I came up with.
The “Celebrate” card says, “For unto us a child is born,” on the inside. I used the washi tape as flags then used metallic thread and and sewed across the card.
The “Merry Christmas” card is blank inside and I just tore the tape and placed it side-by-side. Then I stamped and sewed on top.
Do you send holiday cards?

Today’s post is not about decor but it is related to home design… moving announcements! After we closed on our home, I was very excited to design moving announcements. Although, I found that many people resort to Facebook or e-mail to let their friends and family know they moved, I knew that I just had to put together something to send via mail. I designed the flat cards shortly after I moved but just got around to creating the address wraps this week. Above is the completed project. I have to say, I absolutely love it! Oh and if you were wondering, yep, this is how I came up with the little house and heart image for the home design posts.
