I’ve been on yet another blogging hiatus. I’ve been a busy bee trying to balance two jobs and it’s becoming increasingly more difficult each week. I plan on working on some great DIYs that I will share next week. Until then, here’s a lovely color palette inspired by Elephant Ceramics beautiful work. Don’t you just love the combinations of colors and textures?

It’s always intriguing to peak into other designer’s workspaces. It’s kinda like taking a peak into their mind, their creative process. We all have a unique way of working and contractuing our workspaces. The studio/office above is from Scout’s Honor Co., a stationery studio in Vermont.
I love how the dark slate walls are contrasted with the bold white trim. It’s neat to see how to otherwise neutral room if filled with color by the materials and sketches that are scattered throughout.
We have been home owners for a little over 3 months now and I’m learning that there is always something to do! Over the past month I have focused all my free-time on organizing, painting, and completing my home office. My sweet husband agreed that we should use one of the bedrooms as my office/studio/craft room. Its a tiny room (9′ x 11′) with one medium sized closet. We created a built-in L shaped desk using table tops from Ikea, a 1″ x 2″ piece of lumbar, and L brackets. We utilized every bit of space in the closet by installing shelving. The final product is shown below.
