1. You will need: love coupons printed on cardstock, x-acto knife and straight edge (or scissors), gluestick or liquid glue, 8 A2 envelopes in any color, and about a yard of ribbon or string. Note: the coupons are a scalable PDF file, so if you don’t have A2 envelopes, adjust the size of the document in your print settings to accommodate the envelopes. If you print it at 100%, it will make 4 – 4.25″ x 5.5″ coupon cards. If you have any questions about this, just comment this post.
2. Once the coupons are printed, cut them out.
3. Glue the inside top flap of one envelope.
4. Place another envelope on top of the glued flap. Press firmly to adhere them together.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 until all the envelopes are glued together.
6. Once completed, you will have a chain on envelopes, similar to an accordion style book. Place the love coupons inside, fold like an accordion, and tie with ribbon or string. For a cute finishing touch, add a little gift tag to the “package.” Happy Heart Day!

hi, the coupons are a great idea, and i know to make the envelope line,you just stuck some already made envelopes together, but can you show us an easy way to make an envelope chain like that and show us how to make the envelopes.
I know this is an old comment, but in case you’re still interested or someone else reading this is, here goes!
There’s a huge number of ways to make envelopes, both completely from scratch with only drafting tools and scissors (or more likely, a craft blade), plus glue to put them together, as well as using an enormous variety of stencils, punches, and other specialised tools designed to speed up and standardise the process. And that’s just for regular envelopes like you could get at the shops, because there’s also quite a lot of ways you can make envelopes using origami techniques, ie only folding.
I mean, it’s waaaay beyond the scope of one blog post, or probably even a whole blog. You could write a book, and it’d probably be a brick, too ;-)
I’ve made a lot of envelopes over the years, in many different sizes and shapes and out of many different types and weights of paper, and I’ve used probably all of the main available methods I mentioned above (from drafting my own to very specialised tools for making many envelopes in one go).. My best recommendation overall would be stencils. They offer the best balance between cost upfront, speed & ease of use (even for beginners), and bulk (some tools to make envelopes can be bulky; that’s not ideal, especially if you’re not interested in making a lot of envelopes). These are also available from many smaller-scale artisanal shops, such as on Etsy, so if supporting small business is important to you, that’s an option you can have with a stencil.
