Last week I mentioned that I made these chocolate mousse shooters for my friend Kelly’s baby shower so I thought I would share a few details of the shower.
The baby’s nursery is going to be decorated in an airplane theme so we used the same theme for the shower. We had a local cookie company make these adorable iced sugar cookies.
Kelly has been craving comfort throughtout her entire pregnancy so we thought we definitely had to serve comfort food at the shower! One of the hostesses name the best homemade mac and cheese I think I’ve ever had. Yes, it was that good! I’ll try and get the recipe soon and share it with you all!
Another comfort snack—fresh salsa and chips!
Fresh pickled veggies salad topped with parmesan cheese. So, so good!
We had to have sliders (which has been the most craved food for Kelly)! I also made black bean sliders (in the back right) that were awesome. I used the recipe from the Tupelo Honey Cafe cookbook.
For dessert we severed the chocolate shooters and these white chocolate dipped pretzels.
We set up a little onesie decorating station so guests could decorate onesies for the baby boy. The idea was to have one onesie per month, with months 1-12 written on each one so they can photograph the baby wearing one each month.
Here’s my sweet friend Kelly, the adorable mom-to-be!
