DIY All-Natural Liquid Hand Soap | Sarah Hearts

I prefer using all-natural cleaners around the house. They are not only good for the environment, but they are also good for my skin, which is a must because I have eczema…itchy, itchy eczema prone skin. If you have eczema or sensitive skin then you know how harsh some cleaners and soaps can be! So after seeing Lia share her DIY organic hand soap recipe, I knew I had to give it a try!

I used Lia’s recipe as a starting point and tweaked it a bit. I added a bit more Dr. Bronner’s and also added glycerine. I found this helped thicken the soap a bit, without taking away from it’s suds-ability (yep, I just made that up).

DIY Liquid Hand Soap

Supplies

1/4 cup Dr. Bronner’s unscented baby mild soap
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon of your favorite essential oil (I used grapefruit)
1 tablespoon vegetable glycerine
soap pump (I purchased this one at Target)

Directions

Mix all ingredient in a bowl then pour into a hand soap pump.

  1. I’ve been wanting to try a homemade liquid hand soap for months, but never found anything for less than 5 gallons! I will definitely be trying this. WIll you be trying a laundry detergent in the future?

  2. Hey, this Sarah also “hearts” this recipe! Have been using it and enjoying it for a few weeks now. Thanks a jillion!
