This past weekend was The Crafty Social at Credo in Orlando. It was a fabulous social media mixer and DIY workshop organized by the lovely Sara and Amy. Sara reached out to me a couple months ago and asked if I would help lead one of the DIYs and I’m so glad she did! When I met Sarah, Amy, and Jelly from Peplum Events & Design (who was also recited to add her creative touch) we instantly clicked and they felt like old friends. Don’t you just love when that happens?
Below are a few snapshots of the event. A big thanks to everyone that came to the event! It was so great chatting and crafting with you.
Jelly created gorgeous floral arrangements, including this one with purple cabbage. Yes, cabbage! How lovely does it look? I now want to try using it in my next diy arrangements.
Sara and Amy in action. Aren’t they the cutest?
Gilded gourds turned into vases. Brilliant.
Indie Booth set up their photo booth and totally killed it with their collection of amazing vintage props. Carmen, from The Flair Exchange, made these stunning paper tassel garlands for the backdrop.
Sara taught us how to make macrame hanging planters using the heritage blue mason jars. And I shared how to make painted wood bauble necklaces.
A big thanks to all the sponsors and attendees who helped make this event a success!
If you’re already having The Crafty Social withdrawal, come to my Meet + Make holiday workshop at West Elm in Orlando and Jacksonville to meet more creative people and make holiday gifts.
