Thanks so much for voting for me yesterday in the Better Homes & Gardens makeover madness. I didn’t make it to the final round, but I really do appreciate all your votes and support! You all keep me inspired and allow me to continue this crazy, fun career of mine.
Our house tour makes its way into the master bedroom today. Our master bedroom is not very big but we decided to make it cozy by painting the walls a bright yellow color. When we first moved in, the walls were painted the same dark semi-gloss beige that the hallway was and the trim was painted a khaki color. It took lots of primer and paint to cover up both shades but we’re happy with the result.
I moved the succulent that you see in the first photo to our guest bathroom and swapped it with this cute little plant. Since the room gets less sun, I need a plan that would do well in low light. Fingers crossed this one makes it!
Shortly after we moved in, I took photos of both Kevin and I and drew our silhouettes in Illustrator. I got them printed on fine art paper at our local art store and framed them in these oval cameo frames.
In effort to keep our nightstands tidy, I use this yellow tray to place my rings on at night and use this geometric horsey bank to store change from our pockets.
