To help kick off 2016 and a new year of lots of fun content, I’m sharing everyone’s favorite DIYs from 2015, which coincidentally, include some of my favorites too. If you’re wondering what your first DIY of the year should be, I’m sure this list of popular projects will inspire you!
Ikea Kallax Hack
Hands down the most popular DIY of the year! It seems like everyone loves a good Ikea hack and who doesn’t love mint green and gold tapered legs. I think they should be on just about every piece of furniture. Ever.
Polka Dot Door
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, then you know I have an affinity for polka dots. I put them on just about anything and everything and my old office door was no exception!
Color Blocked Wood Vases
I used these super easy to make wood veneer wrapped vases time and time again. This project also inspired lots of other wood veneer projects like my adventure print and wood heart cake toppers.
Paint Dipped Magnets
Turns out kids and adults alike love these paint dipped alphabet agents. Lots of you shared photos of your version of this project in your own color palette.
DIY Fabric Headband
This tutorial came from having way to many scraps of fabric and is now one of my most worn hair accessories.
Polka Dot Wood Tray
See, I told you I will put polka dots on anything. This wooden tray now is used to hold my assortment of paper cutters and scoring boards but I occasionally repurpose it for serving drinks and food.
Creative Gift Wrapping Ideas
Even though Christmas has passed, there are still tons of year-round gift wrapping ideas in my post, though everyone’s favorites were the printable eating and necklace backers.
Abstract Painted Throw Pillows
You don’t need to be a skilled artist or DIYer to create these pretty pillows.
Mid Century Side Table
This was one of my all time favorite projects and it’s now been repurposed as my bedside table.
DIY Layered Abstract Wall Art
I enjoyed creating this so much that I want to make another! Be sure to check out the video tutorial to see exactly how the paint was layer to create this simple painting.
