Alt Summit NYC Recap

Sarah Hearts recap of Alt Summit NYC 2013.

I just got back yesterday from a whirlwind of a trip to NYC for Alt Summit! If you’ve been following my Instagram account you know my 48 hours in the city was full of crafting, delicious food (and drinks!) and making new friends. This was my second Alt experience and I have to say I wasn’t nervous this time and actually felt right at home meeting many of the amazing women who make up the design and lifestyle blogging community.

The morning of the conference started out with breakfast and crafting—two of my favorite things!

The first speaker was Grace Bonney, of Design Sponge. She’s adorable and so inspirational!

In true Alt fashion the business cards were so creative! Some even included sweet treats.

Bing surprised me by creating 2 of my DIY projects as examples for their real life Bing boards (#thanksbing)! It was the icing on my cake!

They created my chalkboard die-cut vinyl bottle labels and used my DIY paper straw flag template to make bing straws!

The day ended on a roof-top party sponsored by Martha Stewart Living and JCPenny. It was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the view of the city was spectacular! I had so much fun and left so inspired that January can’t come soon enough!
