Ever since my mom got an ice cream maker a couple years ago, I’ve been hooked on making homemade ice cream. And Kevin and pretty much all our friends have been hooked on eating it!
His favorite recipe to date is my chocolate raspberry ice cream so today I’m sharing a little video tutorial on how to make it. The chocolate ice cream is my go-to chocolate base because it’s egg free which means you don’t have to mess with tempering eggs and having lots of dishes to clean up.
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 2/3 cup granulated sugar, divided
• 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
• pinch of salt
• 2/3 cup half and half
• 11/2 cups heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 1 package frozen raspberries (about 12 oz.)
