              On Thursday we said goodbye to Justin, my horse and BFF since 1999. I’ve been quiet and taking some time to grieve because it’s been so hard for me. I miss him so very much already. And those of you that know me IRL know just how important he was to me. I first rode him in Asheville in the summer or ‘99 and I became the luckiest girl in the world when I got to take him home to Miami in April of 2000. In our time together I had two broken bones, three surgeries and endless emergency dismounts (hah!). Thousands of carrots and tons of homemade horse treats. He went from Asheville -> Miami -> Tallahassee (I took him to college with me) -> Orlando -> Los Angeles. And almost 2 years ago we went to his forever home, my parents farm in rural northwest Georgia. He was the quarter horse that my parents thought I’d outgrow but funny enough I never did, I just didn’t get any taller since I got him! We jumped fences, took dressage lessons and rode trails in the San Fernando mountains. I am forever grateful to my family and feel so privileged to been the little girl who got a pony she always wanted. And I’m so grateful that I got to spend over two decades with him. And it’s wild to think he was almost 30 years old! The first photo was taken last Sunday and was last photo I took with him. 💗 💗 💗 #🐴justin
