Easter is around the corner and I’m sharing another fun and super easy DIY today. All you need is a couple supplies to create your own color blocked Easter basket. This technique is so simple you’ll be color blocking all the things in no time.

DIY Color Block Easter Basket

Supplies

Easter basket
embroidery floss in various colors
hot glue gun
scissors

Directions

1. Place a small amount of glue on the basket handle. Stick one end of the embroidery floss in the glue and then wrap the floss around the handle.
2. When you’ve wrapped it as wide as you like, place a small amount of glue on the underside to secure the end. Then use small scissors to trim the end. Continue wrapping the handle with various colors of embroidery floss to create a color block look.

Color blocking is one trend that I don’t think I’ll grow tired off. I’ve color blocked bangle bracelets to vases and everything in between. This technique would also be cute on laundry baskets or even bike baskets too. Basically anything with a handle could be wrapped in colorful embroidery floss!
