Every year I vow to host a Kentucky Derby party and every year it passes without my fabulous Derby bash. So though I sadly won’t be hosting a party tomorrow, I will be mixing up a mint julep for myself after I ride tomorrow and of course watch the race. If you’re hosting a party tomorrow, here are some great recipes and crafts to make the event special. And if you’re like me, just pin this image to your Derby board to get a head start on planning the most amazing Derby party in 2015.
1. Joy the Baker shows you how to make classic mint juleps.
2. Dream Green DIY shows you how a Derby fascinator is totally doable and oh-so-fabulous.
3. This large wood horse wall art from Grey Luster Girl is equally perfect for a Derby party and for year-round art in your home.

Love these links! I always want to do something fun for the Derby too, even if it’s just wearing a big hat! Next year?
Thanks for sharing my horse Sarah! I have never seen / been to a derby bash before! What do you do at it?
It’s a party to watch the race! You wear big hats and drink mint juleps, too!
