If you have some free time this weekend, you’ll definitely want to try one (or all) of these projects and recipes.

Looking for something fun to do this summer? How about making plant stands, making over an old cooler, or making some fresh ginger mint watermelon sorbet?

I know I say this about every week but this week really flew by! Maybe that’s because we’ve had family visiting the past two weekends or because I spent most of the day yesterday trying to recover video footage off a broken SD card (with no luck). Either way, I’m excited for the weekend. My brother and his fiancé are in visiting and we’ll definitely be hitting up all our favorite spots in town. If you have some free time this weekend, you’ll definitely want to try one (or all) of these projects and recipes.

1. These DIY plant stands by Dream Green DIY for eHow are so simple and would look lovely with fresh flowers or special trinkets on them.

2. This modern cooler makeover by Almost Makes Perfect is so clever and so chic. I think I may have to pick one one up at a thrift store soon.

3. This ginger mint watermelon sorbet by Oleander & Palm is making my mouth water. Maybe I’ll have to add some sorbet recipes in my ice cream series.

The throw out 100 things challenge over on Jess Lively makes me want to declutter my house. Right now.
