Anthropology Inspired Heart-Patched Pullover Sweater

Make your own Anthropologie Heart-Patched Pullover shirt in minutes and for a third of the price! (Click through for video tutorial)

Last month when I was in Philly, I of course had to stop in one of the flagship Anthropologie stores. While there, I fell head over heels for this adorable heart-patched pullover sweater. But I didn’t love the $103 price tag quite as much. I instantly thought I could DIY it for less so here it is, my Anthro-inpsired sweater for only $30! And the best part? You don’t have to be Martha to do it—just place the patches on, iron, and you’re done.

Watch the video below to see just how easy it is to DIY!

Supplies

Mini iron-on heart patches
Pullover Sweater
Mini iron*

Directions

  1. Wash and dry the pullover sweater according the the directions on the tag.
  2. Place the pullover on an ironing board or mat and arrange the heart patches with the adhesive side down where you want them. Place a hot iron, without steam, on top of each heart patch for about 30 seconds or until the adhesive has melted. Repeat this until all the patches are adhered.

*A few Notes

If you don’t already have a mini iron, don’t sweat it. You can also use a regular home iron to apply the heart patches. The mini iron just make it really easy to position the hearts just so.

Since the heart patches are adhered with heart, I’d recommend washing the shirt inside out on the gentle/delicate cycle and hang it up to dry. If any of the patches start to peel off you can reapply them with an iron.
