I know, I know, it’s not even June but it’s never a bad thing to be prepared for those holidays that just seem to come “before we know it.” That’s why I put together this simple Father’s Day banner that will definitely make your dad or husband smile.

Time: 30 minutes
Supplies: faux bois wrapping paper (or contact paper) / double-sided tape if using wrapping paper / cardstock / banner template

Step 1: Cut faux bois paper into 4, 8.5″ x 11″ sheets. Then use double-sided tape to adhere each sheet onto a piece of 8.5″ x 11″ card stock. If you’re using contact paper, just peel off the paper backing and stick the contact paper onto the cardstock.

Step 2: I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the letters. If you don’t have one yet, I highly recommend putting it on your wishlist. There are seriously a million crafty (and functional) uses for it. You can also download the template, print and cut out the letters, and use them as guides.

Step 3. Use a tiny hole punch to add holes to the top of each letter. Then use twine or cotton sting and thread each letter onto the string. Tie a knot on each end of the letters won’t fall off and you’re done!

Faux bois banners aren’t just for Father’s Day. Swap out the text and it would be a perfect addition to a camping theme kids party or a rustic wine and cheese party.
