DIY Gold Scalloped Umbrella

Make rainy season a bit more fun with this cute gold scalloped bubble umbrella. Click through for template.

It’s rainy season here in Florida which means there’s a daily downpour nearly every day around 3 p.m. Lately the storms have been way longer and more frequent so I’ve needed to carry an umbrella with me just about every where I go. After my tiny teal travel umbrella flipped inside out a couple of times I decided it was time for an umbrella update. I’ve always loved the look of bubble umbrellas so I got one and customized it with a little gold adhesive vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo. Because everything looks better with a bit of gold on it, right?

Since I’ve been scallop crazy lately (remember the storage jars and the pencil pouches?) I decided to add a gold scallop trim to a clear bubble umbrella I purchased on Amazon. I just love how it made an already cute bubble umbrella into an oh-so-adorable umbrella!

Want to create your own gold scalloped bubble umbrella?
Download the SVG file here
Download the printable PDF template here (you’ll need to print it on 11″ x 17″ paper)

Use a Silhouette or a Cricut Explore to dress up a clear bubble umbrella. Click through for free templates.

Stand out from the sea of boring black umbrellas with this cute gold scalloped bubble umbrella.

Cute and functional! This simple DIY project transforms a plain bubble umbrella with some adhesive gold vinyl.

Dress: Boden | Shoes: Vionic | Necklace: Bauble Bar | Lipstick: bareMinerals, Never Say Never

Thanks to Silhouette for providing the gold adhesive vinyl to complete this project. And a big thanks to you for supporting the brands that keep my DIYs going!

Your DIYs are brilliant! I live in LA, and it doesn’t rain much here at all – but I simply must try this umbrella DIY! :)
